Easy Knit Cotton Dish Cloth

Note: Thank you to Justin for catching my mistake at the end of row 2 increase. It has now been corrected.

Materials:
Size 8 knitting needles
100 % Cotton yarn

Cast on 4 st.

Increase rows
Row 1: knit across
Row 2: K 1, yarn over and k across to end.
Repeat Row 2 until 40 st on needle.

Decrease rows
Row 1: k 1, yarn over, k 2 together, k to within last 3 st on needle, k 2 together, k 1.
Repeat until only 9 st left on needle.

Here is how the last few rows work:

K1, yo k2 tog, k4, k2 tog, k1(9 sts)
K1, yo k2 tog, k3, k2 tog, k1(8 sts)
K1, yo k2 tog, k2, k2 tog, k1(7 sts)
K1, yo k2 tog, k1, k2 tog, k1 (6 sts) (Here's where it gets tricky)
K1, yo k2 tog, k2 tog, k1(5 sts)
K2 tog, k1, k2 tog(3 sts)
k3 tog. Fasten off.
